touch as pattern
pattern collection in black and white
2024
Touch becomes a visual and tactile language. The starting point of this project are experimental prints created through direct contact between color, pressure, and surface. Gestures, imprints, and traces emerge—uncontrolled yet intimate—capturing moments of physical interaction.
These printed structures form the foundation for the pattern designs. By observing, selecting, and transforming the textures created through pressure and movement, the fleeting act of touch is translated into repeatable textile patterns. The work explores how closeness and contact can be expressed through surface, rhythm, and material—inviting the viewer to sense connection beyond words.
